A note from Andrew Lloyd Webber; This album was recorded over five live recordings in the London run of Sunset Boulevard in Winter 2023. The majority is from the performance on Thursday 21st December. Very little enhancement or additional "reverb" has been added to the performances over and above what was heard in the theatre. For the technical, the cast wore DPA 4066 headset microphones, the orchestra was recorded on a range of DPA instrument microphones whilst 9 microphones were added around the auditorium to achieve the spacial effect of the theatre. The album was mixed in an immersive 7.1. 2 format. The stereo mix will hopefully draw you into listening to this Sunset as you might an audio radio play. - ALW
