"Self-actualization and the ignorance and hesitation towards it" released
Single "New Grass" was released in May 2024 and was added to big international playlists such as Spotify's "All New Rock",
"Rock The World", "New Music Wednesday", etc. The single "New Grass" was added to major international playlists such as
Spotify's "All New Rock," "Rock The World," and "New Music Wednesday," and was played more than 30,000 times in two
months. ANORAK! released its second full-length album.
Their last album was the highest ranked Punk album in Japan, Asia, and the U.S., reaching #1 in Japan, #1 in Asia, and #74 in
the U.S., making a name for themselves in live houses across Japan, and boasting over 1,000,000 plays in total.
They have also released and toured with Signals Midwest in Ohio, U.S.A., and performed with BRAID.
They have received many inquiries for their CD and Vinyl from Asian countries, especially from Korea, China, and Singapore,
and they will be touring Asia in September for 9 shows in 6 countries,
In October 2024, the band will finally perform at Fest and tour the US with Aren't We Amphibians.
The sound of the song is a fusion of the band's sound and a sequence of beats created by Tomoho Maeda, who is also the
vocalist of the song.
The beauty of the melody and the tears, which can be described as ANORAK's signature, are retained in the fusion with the
sequence, sometimes with super-lows, and sometimes with massive kicks that shake the audience's souls.
The twinkling twin guitar work of course, but also the rhythm section, which has been trained through the many live
performances over the past two years, was carefully recorded, with the drums recorded separately and new equipment
introduced. The tight rhythms create a groove that cannot be achieved by sequencing alone.
As Maeda says in the MC of the live performance, he learned DAW from Crystal Kato, the guitarist, and after becoming aware
of "making music that can be danced to" while being exposed to clubs and other cultural activities,
This work was created as he learned and mastered "what commonalities exist in music that can be danced to.
Influenced by trackmakers such as Childish Gambino, Pinkpantheress, and men i trust, Maeda himself developed his talent as
a trackmaker and continued to make demos.
