"We learned how to write music from behind the wheel," Philip says, recalling the show-filled schedule that transformed Briscoe from Texas' best-kept secret into a national phenomenon and informed the creation of their new album, Heat of July . "We were on the road so much that we had to become more mobile with the creative process." This necessity inspired a beautifully diverse album full of intimate, raucous and anthemic moments that blur the lines of Americana, rock, folk and country music.
Produced by Brad Cook (Bon Iver, Waxahatchee, Nathaniel Rateliff).
