Clear Blue. Catalog Number: FRM5117 Color: Blue Format: LP UPC: 829421511779 The Brooklyn Transit Express grew out of a conglomeration of several r&b and funk bands out of the Brooklyn, New York area, cutting rare 45's under various names with several of the musicians playing on sessions with such greats as John Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, Don Cherry and McCoy Tyner. Producer Jeff Lane got together with songwriter Billy Nichols and cut the magical anthem "Do It ('Til You're Satisfied) and signed eventually to Roadshow Records, which would be distributed and released in the summer of 1974 on Scepter Records. The title track and hit song would both go to #1, as "Do It ('Til You're Satisfied) exploded on the r&b and pop radio, club floors, discos, and dance halls all over the states and eventually blowing up overseas. The Lp didn't stop there as the lead off track "Express" would also go to #1 and make this album a virtual go to jam for disc jockeys and club spinners all over the globe. This much acclaimed album hasn't been in print on vinyl for decades, therefore Friday Music is very pleased to announce the stunning 50th Anniversary release of "Do It ('Til You're Satisfied" by B.T.
