It's a dramatic, intimate and electrifying record that channels the ruggedness of Dominie's upbringing through textured layers of cello and guitar, anchored by a blistering live band. Influences range from the brooding swagger of Richard and Linda Thompson to the raw energy of Magnolia Electric Co. and PJ Harvey.
