When guitarist “Fast” Eddie Clarke left Motörhead in 1982 and formed Fastway, a lynchpin of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal was born. The group recorded three acclaimed albums for Columbia before producer Dino DeLaurentis hired them to compose the soundtrack for his 1986 heavy metal horror film Trick or Treat (which, if you haven’t seen you should—it’s a hoot, with appearances by Ozzy Osbourne and Gene Simmons)! The record, which included seven new tunes and one song each from the albums Fastway (“Heft”) and All Fired Up (“If You Could See”), hit the charts and proved to be the last Fastway record with vocalist Dave King…put this one in your bag this Halloween.
