In 2005, Pony Canyon and Universal Music jointly released their best albums, "Aerial" and "Universe," and both companies have decided to release them simultaneously as a two-disc analog vinyl set in colour. Based on the image concept of "Aerial" and "Space," drummer Kinichi Mogi (now with the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra) has selected songs that transcend the boundaries of labels to create this all-time best album, which has been highly requested by fans for its vinyl release. Mogi commented on the release of the record, "I'm so happy that my wish has come true! I was conscious of the song selection for the analog release as it was a two-disc set, and I placed the utmost importance on the sound quality as well as the enjoyment of the flow of each side," commented Mogi. After the sudden death of vocalist Shinji Sato, who wrote most of the songs, in 1999, the Fishmans have continued to perform live with Shigeki and a variety of guest musicians.
