Catalog Number: LOG76 Color: Black Format: 12" UPC: 3760370266358 H2H is Chez Damier's flourishing, wondrous planet and Ben Vedren's solidly formed, ever-bright moon. They are self-sufficient giants in our world. We've seen their respective strengths in their solo careers. As a duo, they've already toured the universe: they made a brief foray into the heavens for cosmic shows on Logistic (98 years old) and teamed up with the meteor shower that is Ricardo Villalobos on Perlon as part of Villa H2H. Logistic is proud to present this exceptional 12" single featuring two brilliant new tracks from these two. On "Cry", it's perhaps the passing flock of birds that holds this track together. With each procession, their cries denote a new plot in this serpentine story. The book begins with a rhythm section so tight it needs no variation - a double bass, a bongo clap and a kick so deep the heart of the earth takes note. There are voices, not one but two: a male rhythmic chatter placed beneath a soaring female vocal line. As we settle in, the birds return. This time, we're seized by a synth line so glorious it embraces us like an old friend. Now we're engaged... and then the birds return... A brass section? Yes! A trombone, a sax? We could go on, but why read the last page of the book for you? "No More" is what we'd expect from a B-side - something contemplative, a change of pace. So, as we recline on the enormous couch that is "No More", we rest thanks to the thoughtful slowness of its humble beginnings. We're captivated by a gentle stab of synth, then a warm, comforting voice appears, just to let us know it's not over yet. These elements follow one another, supported by a Rhodes piano that's just enough to keep us wanting more until the next time... That's what we mean by a perfect ending.
