Catalog Number: JGFRR1039-02 Color: Black Format: LP UPC: 880882452919 Selling over 360,000 CDs since its release and now available for the first time on vinyl, the beloved self-titled album, Jerry Garcia Band, was the band's first live release recorded in the spring and summer of 1990 at The Warfield in San Francisco, CA. The iconic lineup led by Garcia (guitar, vocals) features John Kahn (bass), Melvin Seals (keyboard), David Kemper (drums), Gloria Jones, and Jacklyn LaBranch (backing vocals). Jerry Garcia Band highlights the band's ability to showcase numerous genres in their sets, ranging from rock, R&B, jazz, and Motown, to name a few. Furthermore, the album also shows their ability to put a personal spin while honoring the spirit of repertoire staples such as Allen Toussaint's "Get Out of My Life" and Bruce Cockburn's "Waiting for a Miracle." In celebration of the album's 30th anniversary, this open edition 5-LP box set is pressed onto 140g vinyl featuring an etching on Side J and includes two new essays from Steven Hyden and Bill Walton.
