The new single, "I Am Broken Too," brings awareness of mental health issues to the forefront of the song, which is something vocalist Jesse Leach explains was extremely personal for him to write about. "It's about someone that I love dearly who had a breakdown, and it was somebody who was living a 'normal life.' On paper, you would look at this person and think he's got it made; he's doing great. "That person would conceal those issues and drink it all away or numb it in some sort of way," Leach says. "When it finally came to a head, I felt inspired to write this song because I wanted them to know that they aren't alone." The band are donating a portion of the proceeds from the track to Hope For The Day, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing outreach and education to mental health awareness. The vocalist believes the song can act as a uniting force for people struggling with mental health problems and encourage them to speak up and be open with others about their issues. (Altpress)
