The Coasters were, in the opinion of noted rock writer Dave Marsh, 'the funniest group in rock'n'roll history', while author and historian Arnold Shaw described their music as 'ebullient, energising, entertaining, expressive and danceable.' High praise indeed - and as this album confirms, well deserved. The Coasters' songs are more famous than the group themselves.
