Germany's Warlust started out as a black thrash act inspired by Desaster, Zemial and Aura Noir. Unshackling from a blackthrash template, the band went into a stronger black and death metal direction. Meanwhile, WARLUST's simultaneously cryogenic / burning-hot melodicism heighten comparisons to classic Dissection and Necrophobic.
